Arrow Electronics Korea Ltd today announced that it has been commissioned by Rockwell Samsung Automation of Korea to provide In-Plant-Store (IPS) supply chain solution.

Rockwell Samsung Automation is a leading industrial automation services provider.  Arrow’s IPS solution will enhance Rockwell Samsung Automation’s material planning and inventory management capabilities.

The IPS engagement is expected to deliver substantial benefits including improved flexibility, reliability, and efficiency.  Rockwell Samsung Automation will have access to real-time demand forecast, inventory and consumption reports through Arrow’s supply chain tools.  Offering an array of semiconductors, passive, electromechanical and connectors products from more than 20 suppliers, the IPS solution will allow Rockwell Samsung Automation gain higher inventory visibility and minimize inventory risk while retaining a certain level of flexibility.  With streamlined supply chain management, Rockwell Samsung Automation will further strengthen its just-in-time production capabilities.
